Here’s a Tree Sparrow on their way to work in the morning
Here’s a Northern Flicker, not particularly happy with it so I tried to camouflage it with a jazzy background.
Here’s an Eastern Bluebird, drawn in Procreate.
Day 17 is a Cedar Waxwing, possibly my favourite one so far.
Here’s Day 16 of the 20 Winter Birds Challenge- a Brown Creeper. I tried to continue with the Charley Harper-esque vibe from the previous one, but hopefully with some more subtlety.
Tried for something completely different and much simpler, so naturally it took me far longer than usual......
A house sparrow. We see a lot of these guys in our garden. Because I’m a rebel I painted him in some of the wrong colours 🤙 🤷🏼♂️ Drawn in Procreate of course.
A song thrush, due to being ill it’s taken me six days to do this one, trying to fit it in between other deadlines and sitting on the sofa feeling rotten.
I quite like it after all that though. Drawn in Procreate , very slowly.
Here’s a Junco, I’d never heard of this bird before but I like it. This one has a bit more artistic license than some but I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.
Here’s a Downy Woodpecker for Day 11
Here’s a Red Bellied Woodpecker for Day 10 of the Challenge.
Here’s a Carolina Wren for Day 9 of Stephanie Fizer-Coleman’s 20 Winter Birds Daily Drawing Challenge.
Here’s Day 8, a House Finch. This one came together quite quickly tonight.
Here’s a Blue Jay, drawn in Procreate. Didn’t have much time to spend on this one as I’m working on several different projects at the moment.
Here’s a Blue Mockingbird, really enjoyed painting this one, I feel like I’ve got into this Challenge now.
Here’s my latest 20 Winter Birds illustration, a Nuthatch.
Day Four of Stephanie Fizer-Coleman’s 20 Winter Birds Daily Drawing Challenge, here’s a Titmouse drawn in Procreate. Tried a different approach today, wish I hadn’t! Not super happy with is one, but that’s OK. Tomorrow’s will be better.
Day Three of Stephanie Fizer-Coleman’s 20 Winter Birds Daily Drawing Challenge, here’s a Goldfinch Darwin in Procreate. Particularly appropriate as Alex saw one today. I tried for a more painterly approach in this one.
